PM Modi launch development projects of more than Rs 600 Cr in Varanasi

ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୋଦୀ ବାରାଣାସୀରେ 600 Cr ରୁ ଅଧିକ ବିକାଶମୂଳକ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପର ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ କରିଛନ୍ତି

1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth around 614 crores in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi.
2. There is an arrangement of live display of the program at 6 places in the city on big screens and through 5 LED mobile vans.
3. The main projects inaugurated include the light and sound show at Sarnath, two passenger boarding bridges (PBB) at Lal Bahadur Shastri international airport, upgradation of Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in Ramnaga.
4. PM Modi also laid the foundation stones for several projects including the redevelopment of Dashashwamedh Ghat and Khidkiya Ghat, upgradation of the multipurpose hall of Cultural Complex, tourism development, barracks for PAC police force and redevelopment of certain wards of Kashi.

PM announces change of name of Shipping Ministry to Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways

ବନ୍ଦର, ପରିବହନ ଏବଂ ଜଳପଥ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣାଳୟକୁ ପରିବହନ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣାଳୟର ନାମ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରିବାକୁ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଘୋଷଣା କରିଛନ୍ତି

1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi renamed the Ministry of Shipping as the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.
2. He made the announcement during a launch event of Ropax ferry service between Ghogha (Bhavnagar) and Hazira (near Surat) in Gujarat, via video-conferencing.
3. The decision to change the name of the Shipping Ministry is part of Modi government’s efforts to revamp the ports and create world-class Inland Water Transport.
4. This is not the first time the Centre has changed the name of a ministry. The name of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, in July this year, was changed to the Ministry of education under the New Education Policy 2020.

India and Italy sign 15 agreements in various sectors

ଭାରତ ଏବଂ ଇଟାଲୀ ବିଭିନ୍ନ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ 15 ଟି ଚୁକ୍ତିନାମା ସ୍ୱାକ୍ଷର କରିଛନ୍ତି |

1. India and Italy signed 15 agreements in various sectors following a Virtual Bilateral Summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Italian counterpart Giuseppe Conte.
2. The agreements signed will provide for cooperation in a diverse range of areas including energy, green energy, shipbuilding and media sector.
3. The Summit provided an opportunity to the two leaders to comprehensively review the broad framework of the bilateral relationship.
4. The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen cooperation against common global challenges, including the Covid-19 pandemic.
5. The leaders discussed a wide range of issues including political, economic, scientific & technological, space and defence cooperation.

World famous Tourism spot Pangong Tso route gets 4G services at Tangtse

ବିଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ଟୁରିଜିମ୍ ସ୍ପଟ୍ ପାଙ୍ଗୋଙ୍ଗ୍ ସୋ ରୁଟ୍ ଟାଙ୍ଗସେରେ 4G ସେବା ପାଇଥାଏ |

1. World famous Tourism spot Pangong Tso route now gets 4G services at Tangtse.
2. This first-ever Jio mobile tower in the entire Changthang region, connects Tangtse sub division with the rest of the world digitally.
3. Mr.Tashi congratulated the people of Tangtse area for having a Jio mobile tower facility for the first time which was one of the pending demands of the area.
4. Pangong Tso or Pangong Lake is an endorheic lake spanning eastern Ladakh and West Tibet.

J&K darbar move

1. The civil secretariat, the seat of Jammu and Kashmir administration, will open in Jammu after functioning in summer capital Srinagar for six months as part of the nearly 150-year-old practice known in the Union territory as ‘Darbar Move’.
2. The practice of ‘Darbar Move’, under which the administration functions in Jammu during six months of winter and in Srinagar during summer, was started by Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1872 to escape extreme weather conditions in the two regions of the state.
3. However, the practice was continued even after Independence with the aim of providing governance benefits to both Kashmir and Jammu regions for six months by turns.

India’s first solar-based water supply project launched in Arunachal Pradesh

ଭାରତର ପ୍ରଥମ ସ ar ର ଭିତ୍ତିକ ଜଳ ଯୋଗାଣ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ ଅରୁଣାଚଳ ପ୍ରଦେଶରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି

India’s first solar-based Integrated Multi-Village Water Supply Project (IMVWSP) was dedicated to the people of Arunachal Pradesh by Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

• The solar-based lift water supply project for 39 villages in Lower Dibang Valley district in northeastern Arunachal Pradesh was commissioned at a cost of Rs 28.50 crore.
• The project is designed to provide drinking water to 17,480 people and has been conceived as an integrated project with an element of drinking water, green energy and tourism component in it.

Kerala launches ‘Parivarthanam’ scheme for better livelihood of Fishing Community

ମତ୍ସ୍ୟ ସମ୍ପ୍ରଦାୟର ଉନ୍ନତ ଜୀବିକା ପାଇଁ କେରଳ ‘ପାରିବାରଥନମ୍’ ଯୋଜନା ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଛି

The government of Kerala has launched a pioneering eco-sustainable programme called ‘Parivarthanam’, to improve the livelihood of the fishing community.

• Parivarthanam, which means change, will be headed by Kerala State Coastal Area Development Corporation (KSCADC).
• The scheme aims at improving the livelihood skills of youngsters along the coastline and also enable socio-economic uplift of the fishermen community.
• The scheme will promote processing and marketing of clean fish and its fresh products.

Legal Services Day: 9 November

1. Legal Services Day is observed on 9 November in India to raise awareness among the people where Legal Literacy is lacking. On this day, in 1995, the Legal Services Authorities Act was enforced.
2. The main aim of this observance is to spread legal awareness among people.
3. It also aims as a means to provide free legal aid and advice to the poor and weaker sections of the society, so as to ensure justice for all.

International Day of Radiology: 08 November

ଆନ୍ତର୍ଜାତୀୟ ରେଡିଓଲୋଜି ଦିବସ: 08 ନଭେମ୍ବର |

The International Day of Radiology (IDoR) is held annually on November 8 to promote the role of medical imaging in modern healthcare.

• The day also marks the anniversary of the discovery of x-rays by Wilhelm Roentgen in 1895.
• The theme for 2020 is ‘Radiologists and radiographers supporting patients during COVID-19’
• World Radiology Day was first celebrated in the year 2012.

Sports Ministry approves six centres as Khelo India Centre of Excellence

ଖେଲୋ ଇଣ୍ଡିଆ ସେଣ୍ଟର ଅଫ୍ ଏକ୍ସଲେନ୍ସ ଭାବରେ କ୍ରୀଡା ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣାଳୟ six ଟି କେନ୍ଦ୍ରକୁ ଅନୁମୋଦନ କରିଛି

1. The Sports Ministry has approved six centres as the Khelo India Centre of Excellence.
2. The Ministry has also sanctioned over 67 crore rupees in the current financial year to upgrade these six centres. 
3. The Sports Ministry has said that the financial support will be extended for the next four subsequent years in an effort to identify and groom Olympic level talent in the country.
4. The six centres include States Sports Academy in Assam, JNS Complex in Meghalaya, New Sports Complex in Daman & Diu, MP State Academy in Madhya Pradesh, Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex in Maharashtra and Paljor Stadium in Sikkim.
5. The Sports Ministry is upgrading existing sporting infrastructure in each State and Union Territory, with their partnership and is creating Khelo India Centres of Excellence with an aim to create a robust sporting ecosystem in the country.
