Israel country has launched a coronavirus “green pass” system
Israel has launched long-awaited “Green Pass” certificate system, which allows people who have
been vaccinated to access public facilities that would otherwise be off-limits. “Green Pass”
certificate will enable those vaccinated or recovered from the coronavirus to take part in
various activities.
People with the so-called “Green Pass” will get access to gyms, hotels and theatres, as more
than 46 percent of its 9 million population get vaccinated. At the same time, the ministry
warned of serious legal penalties for those who falsify the pasteurization as a sort of status
symbol in Israel.
Those eligible will be able to get the Green Pass using three methods:-
A. Downloading the Traffic Light (Ramzor) app on Google Play or the Apple App Store, entering
personal details and getting the pass on one’s phone.
B. Signing up on the Health Ministry website and downloading a printable personal document.
C. Calling the Health Ministry’s hotline at *5400 and having the pass sent by email or fax.

The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) recently
conducted two successful launches of the Vertical Launch Short Range
Surface to Air Missile (VL-SRSAM)
The launches were carried from a static vertical launcher from
Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur off the coast of Odisha.
Indigenously developed by DRDO for the Indian Navy, VL-SRSAM is
meant for neutralising various aerial threats at close ranges including
sea-skimming targets.
The launches were carried out for demonstration of vertical launch
capability as part of its maiden launch campaign. On both occasions, the
missiles intercepted the simulated targets with pinpoint accuracy. The
missiles were tested for minimum and maximum range. VL-SRSAM with
Weapon Control System were deployed at the trials

First of its kind in India Skill Development Centre (SDC) for Fire Safety Training of DRDO has
been inaugurated in Uttar Pradesh.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurates Skill Development Centre (SDC)for fire safety
training at Pilkhuwa in Uttar Pradesh. Citing the figures of the National Crime Record Bureau,
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said every fifth death in the world due to fire occurs in India.
The Skill Development Centre (SDC) of the DRDO has been created by adopting state-of-the-art
technology and setting up simulation systems for the validation of fire at a realistic scale in
order to meet the challenges and enhance the skills of Defence Fire Service Personnel and
combatants from the armed forces.
Skill Development Centre (SDC) Spread in a 24-acre area and this DRDO facility would be utilised
for imparting fire prevention and fire-fighting training to the fire service personnel of Indian
armed forces, DRDO, Ordnance Factories, Coast Guard and defence undertakings. In addition,
trainees from Bhutan, Sri Lanka and other neighbouring countries would also be imparted
training at the centre.

Union Minister for MSME & Road Transport & Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari recently
inaugurated 50 artisan-based Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional
Industries (SFURTI) clusters, spread over 18 States. In the 50 clusters inaugurated
recently over 42,000 artisans have been supported in the traditional segments of
muslin, khadi, coir, handicraft, handlooms, wood craft, leather, pottery, carpet
weaving, bamboo, agro processing, tea, etc.
These clusters have been inaugurated in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal
Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala,
Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Nagaland, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu,
Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
The Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India has funded an amount of around Rs.85 crore for
development of these 50 clusters. The Ministry of MSME is implementing a Scheme of
Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) with a view to organize
traditional industries and artisans into clusters to increase their income.

Larsen & Toubro has delivered last K9 (100th) Vajra howitzer to Indian Army.
Army Chief Gen Manoj Naravane recently flagged off the 100th K9 Vajra tracked selfpropelled howitzer built by L&T at its armoured system complex at Hazira in Gujarat.
With this, L&T had completed the delivery of all the howitzers under the contract awarded
in May 2017 ahead of schedule.
The K9 Vajra programme involved the delivery of 100 howitzers with associated
engineering support package covering spares and it also involves maintenance transfer of
technology to an army base workshop to support the howitzers throughout their
operational life cycle.
The 155mm, 52 calibre K9 Vajra is built by L&T with technology transfer from South Korean
defence major Hanwha Defense, and is based on its K9 Thunder. L&T had started
indigenising the howitzer right at the field trial stage by replacing 14 critical systems with
indigenous systems.

Recently Bharat Forge and Paramount Group signed an agreement to make Armoured Vehicle
in India.
Pune-headquartered engineering and technology major Bharat Forge has partnered South
Africa-based aerospace and technology company Paramount Group to manufacture armoured
vehicles in India. An agreement to this effect was signed by both companies during the
International Defence Expo (IDEX 2021) held in Abu Dhabi.
As part of the agreement, Bharat Forge will produce the Kalyani M4 a multi-role platform,
designed to meet the specific requirements of armed forces for quick mobility in rough terrain
and in areas affected by mine and IED threats. It offers best in-class levels of ballistic and blast
protection – up to 50kg TNT side blast or IED/roadside bombs due to its innovative design, built
on a flat-floor monocoque hull.
The Kalyani M4 successfully completed a series of extreme vehicle trials in some of the toughest
environments in India and will see service with the Indian Armed Forces in the very near future.
Bharat Forge has also received an order worth Rs 177.95 crore from the Indian Ministry of
Defence for supply of Kalyani M4 vehicles.

Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan today said that India has become the first country in the
world to identify the need for action for Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease. He said this while
launching the operational guidelines for integration of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease with
the National Programme for Prevention & Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases
and Stroke.
Dr Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, launched the operational
guidelines for Integration of NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) with NPCDCS (National
Programme for Prevention & Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke).
Dr Harsh Vardhan informed that we can achieve the objectives to prevent and control NAFLD
with:-
(i) behaviour and lifestyle changes,
(ii) early diagnosis and management of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).
(iii) building of capacity at various levels of healthcare for prevention, diagnosis and treatment
of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).

the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) under the proposed model.

‘Tiprasa’ of Tripuris spread across different states of India like Assam, Mizoram etc. as well, even
those living in Bandarban, Chittagong, Khagrachari and other bordering areas of neighbouring
Bangladesh.

he returned to Calcutta with his family in 1890. Azad grew up
